Pocket Silhouettes

Posted by Brenda on Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Here is one of the brand new sets, that you can purchase for 20% off the regular price.  WOW, what a great deal, I think that this set has a lot of potential.  002 I made this card for a swap, it needed to have a "fall" theme.  I think that I captured that look.  I am in love with all of the new designer series paper.  This one is called, Windsor Knot and it coordinates with Sage Shadow, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive.  I choose to use the So Saffron as the base of the card, then I layered Chocolate Chip and the one of the Windsor Knot ds papers.  I used Chocolate Chip ink to stamp the flowers and the saying and added the Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon and added pop dots to complete the look.

Supplies:

  • Pocket Silhouettes stamp set
  • So Saffron, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White card stock
  • Windsor Knot designer series paper
  • Chocolate Chip ink pad
  • Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon & Pop dots

Be sure to contact your Stampin' Up! demonstrator to order your stamp sets at the sale prices.  If you don't have a current SU demonstrator, please feel free to contact me, place an order with me and I will send you free gift.

Happy Stampin'

Saying “Hi” with Scallops

Posted by Brenda on Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

When I saw the Rainbow Sherbet designer series paper, I knew that I had to have it. I just love the colors, they are a few of my favorite color combinations.001 This is the first card that I made with it.  I used the new Say It With Scallops stamp set, which is the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set, which means that $2.00 will be donated to RMHC.  What a great reason to buy this stamp set.  As you can tell, I used the new square scalloped punch to punch out the "hi" image.  Then I layered it onto Apricot Appeal, Gable Green & Tempting Turquoise.  I then added pop dots to back and added the ribbon.

Supplies:

  • Say it With Scallops stamp set
  • Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal, Gable Green & Whisper White card stock
  • Rainbow Sherbet designer series paper
  • Tempting Turquoise ink pad
  • Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal & Whisper White grosgrain ribbon
  • Scallop Square Punch & Pop dots

Serene Spring

Posted by Brenda on Saturday, August 16th, 2008

Today's stamp set is a level 2 hostess stamp set.  I enjoyed creating this card, Serenespring  It shows a little lighter than in real life, but I watercolored everything.  I stamped the image onto watercolor color paper, using Basic Brown ink pad.  For the inks, I used the following re-inkers, Creamy Caramel, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Point and Close to Cocoa.  I applied them with the aqua painter.  On the bottom, I used the scalloped border punch and then added the ribbon.

supplies:

  • Serene Spring stamp set
  • Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss & Watercolor card stock
  • Bella Rose designer series paper
  • Basic Brown ink pad
  • Creamy Caramel, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Point & Close to Cocoa re-inkers
  • Aqua Painter, Scalloped border punch, Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon & pop dots

Dreams du Jour

Posted by Brenda on Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

006Today's share is using the brand new Dreams du Jour stamp set, along with the Bella Rose designer series paper.  I love this new paper, there are so many things that you can do with it.  For the butterfly, I stamped it in Riding Hood Red and then I colored it with Pink Pirouette re inker and an aqua painter.  After it was dry, I cut it out and then added crystal effects and clear chunky glitter on top of it.  Then on the circle, I stamped another butterfly in Riding Hood Red and attached the cut out on with pop dots.  On my scalloped circle, I used a white gel pen to add the circles.

Supplies:

  • Dreams du Jour stamp set
  • Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette & Whisper White card stock
  • Bella Rose designer series paper
  • Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette ink pads
  • Aqua painter, scalloped circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, crystal effects, chunky glitter, white gel pen, chocolate chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon & pop dots

Upline gifts

Posted by Brenda on Thursday, August 7th, 2008

I have two new exciting items to share with you today.  I received both of them from my upline, Karen Titus.

002 This journal I received because I was in her top ten for sales for the past year.  I couldn't believe it, I told her that I must shop way to much!!  This journal is made with the brand new Bella Rose designer series paper and 2008-2009 in colors.  These colors are Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette. This journal is place to write down all of my "big ideas".

For the second item, it is a journal that was giving to all her first line down line. 007

This journal is also made with the Bella Rose designer series paper and the new Dreams du Jour stamp set.  I love how Karen used the scallop circle punch to punch out the dreams image.

All of these wonderful items will be available in new catalog that will be available on August 11, 2008.

Swap card

Posted by Brenda on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Here is a card that I made for a swap recently.   001   I got this idea from a card that Lori Davis created.  If you can tell from the card, I used crystal effects on all of the flowers.  I liked this design because you can use any color card stock that you have on hand and it will look great, basic gray will match everything.  I think that this would make a pretty bridal shower card as well, change the saying and add a little different color.

Supplies:

  • Close As A Memory & Embrace Life stamp sets
  • Basic Gray, Bashful Blue & Natural White card stock
  • Basic Gray ink pad
  • Bashful Blue SU Marker, Crystal Effects, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon & Ticket Corner Punch

Happy Stampin’
